Common Mode Choke
A choke is an inductor that blocks high-frequency AC current in a circuit, while passing lower-frequency DC current. A choke is comprised of a coil of insulated wire that is wound onto a magnetic core, while others are comprised of a ferrite material strung on a wire. Typically, common mode choke is prefered for some projects because it can withstand DC currents. In addition, it can filter common mode electromagnetic interference (EMI) current under high currents without causing signal degradation.
